The British Complementary Medicine Association (BCMA)

Established for 15 years, has approximately 25,000 practitioner members from 60 associations, schools and clinics.

The BCMA has a seat on the Parliamentary Advisory Group for Complementary Medicine, and is active on the Medicines Control Agency board (protecting a therapist's right to use supplements)

The BCMA is an organisation of integrity (it is non-profit making), has the
ear and the respect of the Government because as members we demonstrate that we actively and voluntarily self regulate our professions.

The Massage Training Institute (MTI)

A national examining body and a professional association specialising in holistic massage. The members are individual massage tutors and schools. While all members adhere to the MTI’s core syllabus in terms of content and training length, each school or tutor can have their own style of massage teaching.

MTI is also a member of the British Massage Therapy Council (BMTC), the General Council for Massage Therapy (GCMT) and we are also affiliated to the British Complementary Medicine Association (BCMA).

Sports Massage Association

The Sports Massage Association was officially launched in 2002 with the aims of:
